Ormiston Academies Trust
Ormiston Academies Trust is committed to providing inclusive and high-quality education to its diverse student body of 35,000 students across England. Their ethos revolves around fostering academic excellence, personal development, and community engagement, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive regardless of background or ability.
With a network of 32 secondary, 3 alternative provision, 1 special, and 6 primary schools, Ormiston Academies Trust aims to create supportive learning environments where students are empowered to reach their full potential.
At our head office, our staffing level is currently at 3.5 full-time equivalents, with plans to expand to 6.5 over the summer. Leading our central team is Don Jones, our Head of Information and Insights, along with specialists in Inclusion & personal development data, technical development, and data quality.
We’re also in the process of recruiting 2 data quality/support/analysts to work with clusters and 2 degree apprentices. In our academies, primary and special schools receive support from academy-based admin staff, with additional assistance from the central team as needed.
Each secondary academy has its own Data Manager, though often not full-time due to additional responsibilities. Our chosen MIS provider is SIMS, enabling data management across our network.
